SALTYR is a 3 piece heavy metal concept band from Everett, WA.
Inspired by the greats of metal like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Sleep, and more, SALTYR brings the classic metal sounds of the past screaming into the present day.
Clad in battle gear, their riffs will make you want to pick up a sword and battle against evil.
Our goal is to be more than a band- we want to tell a story. It's not just about the music: we want to build a legend. On some level, we believe every person yearns for adventure.

The Art
Simon Underwood is the artist responsible for bringing the SALTYR myth to life in visual form.
Simon is a Pacific Northwest native currently based in Portland, OR. While his work is heavily inspired by old-school sword and sorcery, early editions of Dungeons and Dragons and early 20th-century illustrators, he tries to put a contemporary, inclusive spin on those concepts. Skeleton warriors are for everyone!
Simon has done a variety of work for authors, bands, game designers and small press publications over the past decade, and loves helping other creators bring their worlds to life. We are beyond lucky to work with him.
